Wild East tells the story of Gabi Paun, an environmental activist in Romania who is risking his life fighting to expose that IKEA, Romania’s largest private landowner, is working with local timber mafias to destroy the last of Romania’s primary forests. This short documentary follows Paun and his team, Agent Green, as they investigate. Forced to flee his home in Romania after multiple assassination attempts, Paun operates from a safe house abroad, continually risking his life to expose the truth. Paun and Agent Green’s work culminates in the release of an explosive, undeniable report that catches the attention of the global corporate giant.
